Our Story

We are local Sommeliers with many years experience working in the world of wine and hospitality. Along the way we have come across some incredible wines and we just have to share them with you.

Elizabeth Davies - Owner & Lead Sommelier

I fell in love with wine when I first started working in hospitality over 20 years ago. Since then I have become a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, I have my WSET Level 3 and I am currently working on my Advanced Sommelier designation.

Beyond the restaurant floor and this passion project that I started back in 2017, I co-write and teach the Sommelier Program at George Brown College through the Canadian Association for Professional Sommeliers. I also teach some really great wine classes and WSET courses to the college's Continuing Education students.

Working with wine as a student, a teacher, a sommelier and a small business owner gives me an exciting vantage point — and I love to share what I’m seeing in the world of wine and more importantly tasting with you!

Theresa Aniol - Sommelier

Even at a young age I was picky about wine, influenced by trips to the LCBO with my Dad and intrigued by just how differently they could all taste.

I was inspired to start my formal wine education journey while working at a French bistro with an exceptional wine list in Whistler, BC. A job in the private liquor store sector then opened my eyes to the quality of Canadian wine and the retail side of the industry.

I am currently pursuing my WSET Level 4 Diploma in wine. The Loire is at present the region I find most captivating, though I love a well made Chard from anywhere and will never say no to a cold bottle of Peroni.
